The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 77/228on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, in which theAssembly requested the Secretary-General to report to it at its seventy-eighth sessionon the progress made in the implementation of the resolution. It covers the periodfrom 1 August 2022 to 31 July 2023.
